Frisian Duck has a subtle yet spicy flavor profile
Frisian Duck is a hybrid cannabis strain that is grown for its distinctive leaf shape which resembles the footprint of a duck. It grows without being recognizable as cannabis for most of its life. Her compact buds have a rather mild spicy aroma with hints of fresh forest, pine and citrus. The aroma is not as pungent, helping it to keep a low scent profile even when the large purple flowers are ripe and have taken over.
What does Frisian Duck taste like?
Frisian Duck has a slightly fruity and piney taste with hints of fresh berries and undergrowth. Some phenotypes express a more citrusy taste profile. Being slightly citrusy and piney, its flavor profile is sure to awaken! Perfect for a morning or daytime smoke.
Frisian Duck is a champion outdoors
Frisian Duck has purple buds with a hybrid structure leaning towards sativa. It can be prone to foxtailing (abnormal growth and formation of calyxes), making its buds a little more open and therefore very resistant to prolonged periods of bad weather outdoors.
Being the product of a Ducksfoot x Frisian Dew hybridization, Frisian Duck has the potential for a very large yield. The parent genetics of Frisian Dew ensure that the offspring are healthy and strong enough to withstand extreme conditions. In addition to growing well outdoors, Frisian Duck will also do well indoors. It remains quite compact and does not need pruning techniques to maintain the desired height for good production. Note that her purplish tones may be a little less vibrant indoors than with buds grown outdoors.
A great choice for the city/outdoor home grower
Frisian Duck grows with unusually shaped leaves making it difficult to identify as traditional cannabis, making it ideal for growing outdoors and in greenhouses in populated areas. The name “Duck” refers to the distinctive leaf shape that resembles a duck’s footprint, especially during the early periods of its life. In flowering, however, some upper leaves may show the traditional cannabis shape.
What was initially seen as a whimsical cannabis plant about 5 years ago has now become a household name and a bestseller in the Dutch Passion seed collection. This special camouflaged look makes her a great choice for the urban outdoors cannabis grower. It is an authentic cannabis plant, but in disguise. She is also robust and easy to grow, perfect for less experienced growers.
Frisian Duck is ready for harvest after approximately 8-9 weeks of flowering indoors. Outdoors it can reach a maximum height of 2-3m and is harvested around the beginning/middle of autumn.
